Artificial Intelligence and Living a Life of Meaning
Member-Led Discussion Group
Imagine a future where artificial intelligence (AI) can do everything better than you—paint, write poetry, diagnose illness, even offer emotional support. If AI can replace human effort in every domain, does that free us or rob us of purpose?
AI is often framed as an existential threat ("Will it replace us?"), but perhaps the more pressing question is: "How does AI change what it means to live a meaningful life?"
This resonates with our Society’s motto: Not searching for the meaning of life, but a life with meaning. AI forces us to ask: “What does a life of meaning look like in an AI-integrated world?”
